The programme has been developed with input from industry experts and associated bodies to create the first and only accredited Thick Film Intumescent training in the UK. All aspects of surface preparation and application of the products will be taught using both practical and theoretical methods.
Intumescent Coatings are applied to steel buildings either on or off-site to prevent structural failure in the event of fire. It is therefore essential that these coatings are applied by trained and qualified coating applicators. Thorough and correct training in Thick Film Intumescent coating saves time, money, and ultimately lives.

The Thick Film Intumescent Coating Applicator course has been developed by coating experts at Corrodere Academy. This was in response to the strong demand for certification within the Industrial Coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the Road, Rail, Renewables, and Oil and Gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.
When booking, please ensure you upload a copy of your CV and a reference to verify your experience relevant to the course you’re looking to book. Once this has been received, our trainer, Jonathan, will arrange a call to discuss your experience and the details of the course. If your experience cannot be verified, the delegate will be issued with a trainee card. Any candidate found to not have the relevant experience will have their Bronze or Silver module revoked, and a trainee card will be issued.
