Marine Coating Applicators face many challenges not encountered in other environments. It is therefore essential that the coatings are applied correctly, and the surface preparation is in accordance with both regulations and the coating suppliers’ recommendations.

In order to complete this module, delegates must...

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Obtain a Train the Painter Bronze card or equivalent

Certificate:

 Upon successful completion of the Train the Painter Marine module, delegates will be awarded with a certificate in Marine Coating Application.

Bronze Card:

You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator.

Silver Card:

You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner OR Sprayer Painter.

Gold Card:

You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner AND Sprayer Painter.

This was in response to the strong demand for certification within the Industrial Coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the Road, Rail, Renewables, and Oil and Gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.

Once this has been received, our trainer, Jonathan, will arrange a call to discuss your experience and the details of the course. If your experience cannot be verified, the delegate will be issued with a trainee card. Any candidate found to not have the relevant experience will have their Bronze or Silver module revoked, and a trainee card will be issued.
