The ECITB TFM01 Industrial Coatings Airless Spray Application is intended for both onshore and offshore fabric maintenance personnel who may be required to complete a trade test before their employment commences or is approved.

This course consists of a threehour practical test and a onehour knowledge test. You must pass the knowledge test before advancing to the practical element.

About the course

Course Content

  • Correctly select and set-up the airless spray equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Undertake all necessary checks to ensure all equipment is ready to use.
  • Check associated items such as power (air electric), paint lines, spray gun tip, and safety devices.
  • Ensure there is no dust debris contamination on the prepared mid steel test plate.
  • Monitor and recode environmental conditions throughout application.

To finish the ECITB TFM01 Industrial Coatings Airless Spray Application course, you will be required to confirm your medical fitness and physical ability to participate as the course itself may potentially be physically demanding and/or stressful. This will be done by completing a medical self-screening form before the start of the course.

An ECITB certificate will be issued upon successful completion.

Certificate Validity:

36 months

Target Audience:

Those required to complete a trade test before employment commences or is approved.

Revalidation:

The course must be revalidated every three years.

Items to Bring:

Government Issued Photographic ID (e.g. Driver Licence or Passport). Delegates are also required to bring steel toe cap safety boots.

This course is put on by the ECITB, the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board, and is meant for people who work within the Construction and Engineering industries. It’s also for those who are sub-contractors working within the Installation and Maintenance sectors.
